Eastridge Basketball Tournament

Sunday, March 11, 2018, 12:00 AM - Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 12:00 AM

Cost: $50.00

Who:  All Melonie Park students currently in 6th grade up through 12th grade.  Non-basketball and Basketball players are both encouraged to join us.  There will be plenty of opportunities to engage with community members for both ballers and non-ballers.

What:  The Eastridge Community is a refugee community located in Amarillo Texas.  We recently hosted Camp Eastridge there as an outreach to the community.  We partnered with local churches to host this event.  Pastor Mike invited us back to participate in his annual Basketball Tournament!  It’s a 3 on 3 tournament over a two day period.  MPC can have up to 4 teams.

When:  Sunday March 11th – Tuesday March 13th (over spring break).  Arrive at church fully packed and dressed for church at 8am that Sunday.  Eat breakfast before you come that morning.  We’ll attend church and their youth group on Sunday.  Then Monday and Tuesday will be filled with lots of opportunities to engage while we play some basketball or organize other activities with the younger kiddos!

Where:  Eastridge Community in Amarillo at Eastridge Baptist Church.  We will stay in the bunk houses at the church.

Why:  To let our light shine bright!  The light of Jesus that is!  Pastor Mike invited me (Bruce) to share at both lunches Monday/Tuesday and I’m hoping to get our high schoolers to help me!

How Much:
$50 is due by February 1st.  This is nonrefundable after Wednesday February 14th.
